New 40Ton 3 Axle Cement Tanker Semi Trailer
Product Details
|
This new 40-ton 3-axle cement tanker semi trailer uses a V-type tank with internal fluidized bed to discharge dry bulk powder at 1.2-1.5 tons per minute with under 0.2% residue. The 4-6 mm high-tensile carbon steel shell sits on three 13T/16T Fuwa or BPW axles with JOST 28-ton dual-speed landing gear and 50/90 mm kingpin. A diesel-engine or PTO-driven compressor pushes powder vertically up to 15 metres through a 4-inch rubber hose with quick couplings. |

40 Ton Cement Tanker Semi Trailer - Product Details
Also referred to as a bulk cement bulker, dry powder tanker, or pneumatic cement trailer, this 3-axle semi trailer is purpose-built for moving large volumes of cement, fly ash, lime powder, mineral powder, and dry mortar between cement plants, concrete batching stations, and construction sites. The V-type tank body geometry works with a high-performance fluidized bed to push powder out fast with near-zero residual material left in the tank after each cycle.
|
V-Type Tank - 1.5 Tonnes a Minute, Under 0.2% Left Behind The V-profile tank floor funnels powder toward the fluidized bed rather than trapping it in flat-bottom corners. Discharge rates hit 1.2-1.5 tonnes per minute on standard cement powder with residual material below two-tenths of one percent of the load. For a 40-tonne trip that means less than 80 kg stays in the tank - negligible enough that operators can switch between cement and fly ash loads without a full washout between runs. |
High-Tensile Steel Shell, Submerged-Arc Welded The tank body is 4-6 mm high-tensile carbon steel assembled with automatic submerged-arc welding - no manual stick-weld weak points at the longitudinal seams. Combined with a safety pressure relief valve that self-regulates internal pressure during unloading, the shell handles thousands of pressure cycles without developing fatigue cracks at the cone-to-cylinder transition. |

Features and Advantages
|
Independent Engine or PTO - Powder Moves Either Way The compressor can be driven by a standalone diesel engine mounted on the trailer or by the tractor's PTO. An independent engine means the cement tanker unloads at the silo while the tractor is already hooked to the next trailer - no idle tractor time burning fuel through a PTO while powder trickles out at 1.2-1.5 tonnes per minute. |
|
15-Metre Vertical Lift for Tall Silos The pneumatic discharge system on this cement tanker semi trailer pushes powder up to 15 metres vertically - enough to top-fill a four-storey batching-plant silo without a secondary boost pump at the base. Stable air pressure from the compressor means the powder column stays aerated the full height of the riser pipe, not stalling halfway up when the receiving silo is nearly full. |
|
Operator Safety - Ladder, Rails, and Night Visibility A non-slip rear ladder and top handrails give the operator safe footing when loading through the top hatch or inspecting manhole seals. The cement tanker also carries 3M reflective safety tape and LED tail lights so drivers approaching from behind see the trailer well before their headlights pick up the rear bumper - important on unlit construction access roads. |

Application Scenarios
|
Cement Plant to Batching Station The most common duty cycle for this dry powder tanker: loading at the cement factory silo via gravity-fed overhead hatch, hauling 40 tonnes to a concrete batching plant, and discharging through the 4-inch rubber hose straight into the plant's storage silo in under 30 minutes. |
Fly Ash and Mineral Powder Logistics Beyond cement, the pneumatic cement trailer handles fly ash from coal power stations, hydrated lime for water treatment plants, and mineral fillers for asphalt production. The under-0.2% residue figure matters most here - when switching between incompatible powders, minimal carryover means fewer rejected loads at the receiving silo. |
Cement, fly ash, or lime - what powder, what volume, what port?
Quality Assurance
|
Air-Tightness and Hydrostatic Proof Testing Every cement tanker semi trailer passes a 100% air leakage test and water pressure test before sign-off. No sampling - every unit, every time. The tank must hold pressure for the full test duration without a needle twitch on the gauge. |
Shot-Blast + Polyurethane Finish The steel shell is shot-blasted to white metal before coating, removing mill scale that would otherwise lift and blister under tropical humidity. Anti-rust primer followed by polyurethane topcoat protects the bulk cement trailer through years of coastal port storage and salt-spray ocean transit. |
|
Custom Volume, Compartment, and Colour Tank capacity is configurable between 30 and 60 m3; compartment count and colour match your fleet livery. Tell us your transport requirements and the cement tanker arrives built to those numbers, not adapted from a stock unit sitting in the yard. |
Ro-Ro, Bulk Carrier, or Flat Rack Professional seaworthy packaging with your choice of Ro-Ro vessel, bulk cargo carrier, or flat rack container - whatever saves the most on ocean freight for your destination. Each cement tanker semi trailer receives marine-grade anti-corrosion treatment before loading. |

FAQ
How fast does a 40-tonne load actually discharge?
At 1.2-1.5 tonnes per minute with the compressor at full output, a 40-tonne cement powder load empties in roughly 27 to 33 minutes. Fly ash at lower density (0.6-0.8 t/m3 vs cement's 1.2-1.4 t/m3) takes a few minutes longer at the same compressor speed because more air volume is needed to move the same mass.
What is the advantage of a V-type tank over a standard cylindrical one?
The V-profile creates a natural funnel angle that gravity-feeds powder toward the fluidized bed at the bottom of the tank. A cylindrical tank has a flat or shallow-curve floor that leaves material sitting in the corners where the air stream cannot reach it. That is why a V-type cement tanker semi trailer achieves under 0.2% residue while a standard cylindrical tanker can leave several hundred kilograms behind after every discharge cycle.
Can I choose between independent engine and PTO drive?
Yes. A standalone diesel engine on the trailer means the compressor runs without the tractor - useful if you drop the loaded cement tanker at a batching plant and want the tractor driver to hook another trailer while the powder discharges. PTO drive uses the tractor engine and is simpler to maintain but ties up the tractor for the full discharge cycle. Both options ship from our factory.
What maintenance does the fluidized bed need?
The fluidized bed membrane inside the cement tanker should be inspected through the manhole covers every 500 discharge cycles. Look for tears, hardening, or delamination at the edges where the membrane meets the tank wall. A damaged fluidized bed lets powder fall through into the air plenum below, blocking the air passages and choking the discharge rate. We supply replacement bed membranes for all our cement tanker semi trailers.
